The elephant named mullackal balakrishnan have been serving this temple for quite long years. Balakrishnan carries the thidambu of mullackal amma. He is around or more than 45 years old.
He has got the best features of a perfect elephant. he is the tallest, among all the nine elephants which come from different temples in alappuzha for the festivals of mullackal temple.

MULLACKAL TEMPLE

Mullackal temple is one of the oldest temples located in alappuzha. The presiding deity in this temple is goddes,s Mullackal Rajarajeswari. The main festival "Mullackal Chirappu" is during November and December. The nine day festival is also occurred during Navarathri, the last two days are the most important where nine elephants with colorful processions are participated and thousands of devotees come to witness this auspicious occasion.
